The story of Stæhr Group begins in 1949, when Henning Stæhr cycled around Copenhagen with a suitcase filled with watch bracelets and straps. He personally visited the city’s watchmakers and goldsmiths and presented products he could stand behind.
The business grew throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In the decades that followed, Henning Stæhr A/S developed into a prominent player in the Danish watch industry — always with expertise, quality and personal relationships as its foundation.
Today, Stæhr Group is a leading Nordic distributor of watches, jewellery and accessories. From our headquarters in Gentofte, we work with both international brands and a strong network of professional retailers across Scandinavia.
Our work includes distribution, brand development, sales, marketing and authorised service. At the same time, we develop our own business areas and create new opportunities, with respect for the experience that has shaped the company through generations.
Much has changed since that first bike ride in 1949. But our approach is the same: We select products we can stand behind, deliver service at a high professional level, and build long-term partnerships based on trust.
